Hi! I'm Barbara. I love making Friendship Mask Extenders!

It all started back in the summer of 2020 when we were in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My 5-year-old pulled out her Spice Box Friendship Bracelet kit that we got from Costco and asked me to make friendship bracelets with her. I didn't know how to make friendship bracelets. So, I read through the instructions and we both gave it a try. Our first few bracelets looked awkward, but we were pleased to have tried something new! We really got into making these friendship bracelets!

In the fall, I felt like I wanted to make these bracelets into something practical. I saw some mask extenders or ear savers online and though, "Why not?" I sewed buttons on both ends of the strap and the first Friendship Mask Extender was born!

We also wanted to find ways we could make a change in the world. We wanted to reach out and help those who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, that's why we pledged to donate 10% from all sales to our local food bank.
